We started the day with a (long) drive down country for Michael’s cross-country meet at the Trumbull County fairgrounds. We drove through Lake County, then Geauga County, and finally Trumbull County. Along the way we enjoyed the wonderful fall colors and saw lots of Amish farmhouses and buggies. On the drive home, we stopped off in Mesopotamia at the End-of-the-Commons general store where we bought a pumpkin, some mums, and an ice cream cone for each of us. That’s where I took this picture:
Mesopotamia, or Mespo, as the locals call it, is the little town, more of a crossroads, where we go for an ox roast every July 4th weekend. There were no oxen being roasted today, but it is still a great little community to visit, right in the heart of the Ohio Amish country.
We came home about 3 pm, and I was ready to relax, but not until I took care of two more responsibilities: Taking pictures of Emmy in her Homecoming dress and processing all the pictures I took today. That’s all done now, and I am going to leave you with a slide show of the events of this busy day.
